Dr Pankaj Singla, MRSC is a Research Associate at the University of Manchester, working within one of the UK’s most advanced research ecosystems. Based at the Nancy Rothwell Building, a state-of-the-art research facility, his work benefits from proximity to world-leading institutes such as the Henry Royce Institute, the Graphene Engineering Innovation Centre, and the School of Biological Sciences. This strategic location also provides access to the Manchester Cancer Research Centre, enabling high-impact translational research.

Dr Singla earned his MSc and PhD in Pharmaceutical Chemistry in India, complemented by a Newton-Bhabha fellowship at Manchester Metropolitan University. He later secured a prestigious Marie Skłodowska-Curie Individual Fellowship at Newcastle University, focusing on polymeric nanostructures for cancer therapeutics and diagnostics.

Currently, he co-supervises PhD projects and is building an independent research portfolio exploring:

  • Nanomedicine for hard-to-treat cancers

  • Modulation of biological interfaces using molecular imprinting technology

  • Translational implants for ocular health (e.g., preventing blindness in conditions such as PVR)

His vision is to integrate advanced materials science with clinical applications, driving innovation in cancer therapy and beyond.
